Gareth Paul Gates (born July 12, 1984, Bradford, England) is an English pop singer who shot to fame in 2002 when he came second in the first series of the ITV talent show Pop Idol. Gates is also known for overcoming his severe stammer through the McGuire Programme[8], qualifying as a speech coach in 2004 [9]. So far he has sold 3.5 million singles & albums in the UK alone.

Pictures of the Other Side is the third studio album by British singer and songwriter Gareth Gates. The Pop Idol winner releases his comeback album after nearly 4 years from his previous album 'Go Your Own Way'. Before the release of this album, two lead singles have been released, namely 'Changes' and 'Angel on My Shoulder'. It is the first album from Gareth Gates which does not include any cover versions.
